To give students a basic understanding of small talk in English and build their confidence in making small talk in the real world with international friends, colleagues and business partners.

An Introduction to Small Talk Part One is the first of three spotlight courses on how to make small talk.
Part One will look at:
- What small talk is
- Why it is so important
- Greetings
- Goodbyes
- Small talk structure
It will also offer audio of example conversations, role plays and phrases to help with intonation and allow students to sound more like a native speaker.
This course will give you an essential foundation in small talk, allowing you to develop your skills further in parts two and three.
